BEYOND THE BLACK – Break The Silence

The album is genuinely good. It features strong songwriting and memorable melodies that stick with you after a few listens. The songs feel solidly constructed—nothing falls apart or feels random; everything is in its place and serves the overall flow.

The production is polished and pleasant to the ear: smooth, balanced, and free of rough edges. It’s the kind of sound you can enjoy without fatigue, where clarity and power coexist comfortably. The vocals fit the album’s mood and melodic direction well, never overpowering the music but reinforcing its emotional core. Guitar parts sound modern and engaging, with riffs and leads that feel fresh rather than recycled.

The album is tagged as symphonic metal, which is partly true. However, at times the melodies lean more toward a folk sensibility, an impression that’s further enhanced by the use of a Bulgarian choir. This blend adds extra color and depth, giving the music a slightly unexpected but very welcome character.

The accompanying videos are also worth mentioning: they’re interesting in their own right and connected by a shared storyline, which adds another layer to the album’s overall concept and atmosphere.

Overall, this is an engaging, well-crafted, melodic take on modern metal—thoughtful, confident, and enjoyable without trying too hard to impress.

Rating: 9 out of 10.
